The fund offers grants up to £5,000 to support organisations in Peterborough which are working to help local young people with learning disabilities to access positive activities and opportunities to develop their full potential.

Examples of funded projects
Nicolaus Copernicus Peterborough Polish School received £3,499 to purchase sensory toys and equipment and to cover staff costs for those who work with students with special educational needs.
Beat This CIC received £2,400 to provide specialist equipment for their new community music centre which is used by people with disabilities or facing disadvantages.
Peterborough Special Olympics Swimming Group received £1,000 towards the costs of pool hire, coaching costs and entry fees for competitions benefiting at least 28 young people.
Peterborough Area Down’s Syndrome Group received £5,000 to set up a Speech Therapy group for babies and toddlers who have Down’s Syndrome and their families.
