Cambridge-based restaurant group, Cambscuisine, has reached £200,000 awarded in community grants over the past five years through the Cambscuisine Community Fund.

Since its launch in 2019, the fund has been a testament to the company’s commitment to social responsibility. As they’ve grown from a single establishment to eight thriving locations, their dedication to building a stronger, healthier, and more inclusive Cambridge has only strengthened.

How the fund helps

The fund awards grants to local charity and community projects that help to build healthier, inclusive, sustainable communities and support people who are socially disadvantaged. The fund’s particular ambition is to give people facing adversity ‘a second chance’.

Cambscuisine fundraises for the fund by adding a £1 donation to bills above £30 in their restaurants and pubs.

Thanks to the generosity of diners, the fund has been able to award over 50 grants to date.

These grants have supported a variety of local initiatives, including projects supporting at-risk youth, refugees and people experiencing homelessness.

Examples of supported projects

The Cambscuisine Community Fund demonstrates the profound impact a locally rooted business can have on its community. We’re proud to manage this fund and we look forward to our continued collaboration to make Cambridgeshire stronger, healthier and more inclusive.
