We are celebrating after 60 dedicated runners raised an incredible £29,000 (and counting) at this year’s Cambridge Half Marathon – the highest amount ever raised for the Foundation at this event.

This incredible achievement came thanks to the combined efforts of individual fundraisers and corporate teams from leading local businesses: COEL, Evelyn Partners, G’s, The Cambridge Building Society, and Cheffins, who all went above and beyond in their fundraising efforts.

We’re absolutely blown away by the generosity and dedication of everyone involved. The funds raised will make a significant impact across our local communities, supporting grassroots organisations and vital community projects throughout Cambridgeshire.

Sunday’s race saw clear skies and warm temperatures as runners took on the picturesque 13.1-mile course through Cambridge’s historic streets.

For many participants, a crucial boost came at our vibrant cheer point stationed along the final stretch of the race.

The volunteer-led cheer point created a carnival atmosphere with pompoms, thunder sticks and enthusiastic supporters spurring on not just the charity’s runners, but all runners tackling the final push.

The record-breaking total, which continues to rise as final donations come in, will help fund initiatives addressing local needs, including cost of living support, health and wellbeing initiatives and so much more.

We extend heartfelt thanks to every runner, donor, supporter, and volunteer who contributed to this remarkable achievement.

We now look ahead to the 2026 race as the event’s local charity partner. We are already reserving entries, with further details confirmed once the event date is announced. Please get in touch with Julia at events@cambscf.org.uk to secure your place.
