About the fund

Anglian Water is committed to protecting and enhancing the species and habitats on its sites and across the region. As part of this commitment, the company has set up the Anglian Water Invasive Species Fund to make grants to fund projects which prevent the introduction and/or spread of invasive non-native species (INNS), where such projects will prevent the deterioration of a waterbody or reduce the threat to the conservation objectives of wetlands designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, Special Area of Conservation or Special Protection Area.

Grants between £1,000 and £15,000 will be considered.

Fund criteria

Applications are invited from constituted non-for profit groups with an associated bank account into which funds can be transferred. Local authorities may also apply.

Projects must focus on active control or eradication of INNS that impact aquatic and wetland environments. These projects must fall within one or more of the following named management catchments and the Anglian Water or Hartlepool regions (see maps below).
