Kingsgate Community Church received a grant to provide a Food Pantry aimed at families who are not at the point of an emergency crisis, thereby not qualifying for foodbank support, but are experiencing long-term financial pressures and food insecurity.

There are now 59 families (equating to 237 adults and children) attending the food pantry regularly, who are served by 18 volunteers from the local community.

Benefits of the food pantry

It keeps me afloat moneywise – no more skipping meals and better food.
