The Hubert Julian Grassroots Endowment Fund
The Hubert Julian Grassroots Endowment Fund is invested and each year the fund makes small grants to support small, local voluntary and community groups and organisations that are undertaking charitable work in Cambridgeshire.
Grants are given to those projects helping people that face disadvantage and to those that engage and support local people, and therefore build stronger, healthier, inclusive and sustainable communities.
The fund focuses around CCF's 'Improving Lives' funding stream which supports the following core grant programmes: Children and Families, Adults facing life crisis and Adults with health conditions.
The Prospects Trust received £1,150 to run a project with people with disabilities to renovate existing farm buildings into a more accessible indoor work space.
Eddies received £1,400 to run a programme of speech and language therapy sessions for pre-school children who have Down's syndrome.
Home-Start Royston & South Cambridgeshire received £1,000 towards Home Visiting Service for a family in crisis.
Carers Trust Cambridgeshire received £2,000 to contribute to running costs for a bi-monthly support group for people with dementia and their carers.
RESTART - Illuminate Charity CIO received £2,000 towards running courses to help increase the confidence of people with mental health issues who are furthest away from the employment market.
